Distressed Hobbit

School is finally coming to an end for me and everything is finishing up!

I was watching one of my all time favorite movies the other day, a movie that I invested so much emotion into.
and I felt like I haven't drawn a hobbit in a while so I thought I'd draw a hobbit.

...And heres the actual sketch that I drew watching the movie that inspired the drawing above:

Justice League!!

..or morelike Wonderwoman and Batman..
I've been really into the Warner Bros. Justice League TV series lately and thought I'd do some fanny fan art.
My favorite character is Flash, although I have been drawing Wonder Woman alot.

I bought the whole series of Justice League Unlimited on DVD and have been watching it almot every day, and I find the silly randomness all too entertaining! I think one of my favorite episodes is "The once and future thing" where Batman Wonderwoman and the Green Lantern go through a time warp and end up adapting the life of cowboys.
The coolest thing was seeing Bruce Wayne as a cowboy. Man how fitting is that!







BTW: Surf's Up came out on DVD !!! What a GREAT FILM. It really deserved more attention than it got. So if you don't have much to do (or even if you have alot to do) you should check it out! Hopefully it will do well in DVD sales. It's definitely one of my top films this year, and the more I watch it the more I really appreciate the effort and great thought that was put into it, and the animation is just all too good.

I drew a little drawing of one of the parts that lead up to my favorite part in Wicked.
I remember whenever I saw Wicked(after the first time I saw it) I would get really excited at this part, because it leads right up to the best part of the show.
I imagined them running up spiral stairs, and I tried to make it a little green-y because they are in Emerald City.
I want to flesh out Elphaba's (The Wicked Witch of the West) design a little more, but I think I like the way I'm developing Glinda's design.

Wizard encounters Water nymphs.

This is a drawing I did the other day, with a little training wizard character I made up.
The three ladies are water nymphs being playful and curious.
I couldn't decide wether or not I should really put alot of time into coloring, or if I should just kind of dab colors on here and there, and I decided to go with the later, although it really didn't turn out as nice as I wish it would have.
Just did this one to post on my blog.. Hello blog are you still breathing?
I think I kind of forgot how exciting it really is to post on blogs and just wait for people (probably mostly friends now) to respond to the drawings I did.

About three more weeks and then it's back to school! Hurray
This was a great summer full of hard-to-believe and great learning experiences.

* here is the sketch of it; Sometimes I think when I comeback and look at the two the sketch looks better than the colored, and sometimes not..
